Aurora

Two video projectors, 4-channel audio system, plexiglass, plastic snow, custom electronics, 7ft x 3ft x 5ft

Installation views
Aurora is a video installation inspired by the unusual snowstorm that blanketed Buenos Aires in July 2007. Two synchronized projections present a blurred self-portrait in motion, where subtle shifts in facial expression gradually emerge. Four small speakers narrate a short story set during the storm, weaving memory and atmosphere into the visual field.

Between the projections and the speakers, artificial snowflakes intermittently fall from the ceiling. Integrated into the gallery’s architecture, a custom snowmaking device releases plastic particles that resemble snow, slowly accumulating on the floor. The installation creates an immersive environment in which personal narrative, collective memory, and fabricated weather converge.
