Aurora is a video installation inspired by an unusual snowstorm in the city of Buenos Aires in July of 2007. Two synchronized projections of a blurred self-portrait in motion reveal subtle facial movements while four small speakers narrate a short story that took place during the storm. In between the two projections and the four speakers, fake snowflakes occasionally fall from the celling. Integrated to the gallery's architecture, a fake snowmaking device releases plastic particles resembling snowflakes that build up in the floor.
